RDP / MSTSC usage switches (v6.0)

UPDATE For Vista SP1: "mstsc /console" is now "mstsc /admin."

MSTSC [] [/v:] [/console] [/f[ullscreen]]
[/w: /h:] [/public] | [/span] [/edit "connection file"] [/migrate]

But Why would Microsoft change this parameter? Worse, it does not give an error when the old parameter is used.

Because Redmond often employs entirely inconsistent, self-contradictory, backward pseudo-logic, then in 10 to 20 years they revert anyway to solutions well known in unix world, only wrapped in deceptive "genuine" buffoonery. You will yet see, when they eventually switch "\" to "/".

Even better, if you've upgraded XP to SP3 you must now use the /admin swtich instead of /console. And again, no error or information is produced if you use /console, it just doesn't give you the console. (Learned this one the hard way!)
