Update: Trend 4.995.00 Patch wrecking havoc across networks
Apparently this an issue with newer definitions as well. NTFRS may be impacted as well as VSS. (?) I have removed Trend from workstations till an official solution is found.
We got nailed by 4.995.00. It seemed to crawl our Oracle 10i server and another large java application. Trend's site mentioned something about 995 messing w/ large files, but many of our other machines were unharmed. We rolled back the pattern to 992 until 997 was released
we were effected too, but found a solution on the TM site http://esupport.trendmicro.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=PUB-en-1036859 after that everything was back to normal immediately.
