HP updating firmware

Had a client call with a scanning issue on a HP all in one printer/scanner.
I figured I might as well update firmware. Download, double click, pick printer, and hit send firmware......progress bar slowly creeps along, me getting kinda nervous................hmmm............ bingo I get the smiley.
