Mandatory Ingenuity

One of the perils of living in an older home is that some times the floor is slanted such that everything must be shored up. Kinda like living on a ship.
On a recent trip to a friend in such a home I snapped these two brilliant solutions. What happens when the book shelf fits, but not quite at the same elevation :)
